Reviews:
“I really enjoyed my experience at UCSF. They took my birth plan very seriously and discussed with me any possible deviations from the plan ahead of time. I met most of the midwives during my prenatal visits, so it was nice to see a familiar face since my OBGYN was not there for the delivery. I was really impressed with how supportive they were of natural birth and avoidance of episiotomy. They were also very supportive of the baby breastfeeding right away - they even refrained from cleaning the baby until I could have some bonding experience and first breastfeeding. After the delivery, we had a nurse assigned to us 24/7 (nurses rotated every 12 hours). All of the them were super attentive and helpful. Also, a lactation consultant came by to check how the baby was feeding and give us tips. We felt that we were in really good hands while in the hospital. Before we left, the nurse went over how to take care of the baby and myself once at home. It was a good way to keep our attention focused since having a baby is such an overwhelming experience! So A++ for UCSF!”~ Rufa
